Inspired by the great work of Henri Matisse, I experimented with cut outs to find different compositions and shapes. Playfully layering all the different forms I created a sketch wich I worked out into a painting.

This series is a depiction of my favorite uncle's life in 5 episodes. A special and artistic man, who also had to deal with mental health problems. During my childhood he had a great impact on our family, both positive and negative.
Silkscreen
How to set up your own silkscreen publishing studio? Together with Lotte de Vries I made a manual. We set up a silkscreen publisher workspace for SHOOT. graphic design bureau. The manual is completely made out of test paper of previous designs.

In this zine we choose to bring to light and discuss the often overlooked sensitivities surrounding the topic of physical touch, intimacy, and longing during the Corona epidemic. In order to get people’s attention we decided to create vulgar and bold images to interrupt daily life.
